Biological - SARS-CoV-2 - Federal Vaccine Mandate Empty Biological - SARS-CoV-2 - Federal Vaccine Mandate

Subject: Joe Biden's federal vaccine mandate.
Report Name: Biological - SARS-CoV-2 - Federal Vaccine Mandate
Description: Joe Biden's federal vaccine mandate and it's implications for individual and state's rights, the economy and other factors.

Preface: This federal mandate issued by Joe Biden will have far reaching implications across the board. I will start with the White House propaganda and then the reactions at the national, state and local levels.

President Biden is implementing a six-pronged, comprehensive national strategy that employs the same science-based approach that was used to successfully combat previous variants of COVID-19 earlier this year. This plan will ensure that we are using every available tool to combat COVID-19 and save even more lives in the months ahead, while also keeping schools open and safe, and protecting our economy from lockdowns and damage.

. . . All told, these efforts—and countless other Administration initiatives and policies—have resulted in over 175 million fully vaccinated Americans. But there are still nearly 80 million Americans eligible to be vaccinated who have not yet gotten their first shot.

The President’s plan will reduce the number of unvaccinated Americans by using regulatory powers and other actions to substantially increase the number of Americans covered by vaccination requirements—these requirements will become dominant in the workplace.

Notes: OSHA has been enlisted to push this mandate on private business as is stated in the White House source.

The Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is developing a rule that will require all employers with 100 or more employees to ensure their workforce is fully vaccinated or require any workers who remain unvaccinated to produce a negative test result on at least a weekly basis before coming to work. OSHA will issue an Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) to implement this requirement. This requirement will impact over 80 million workers in private sector businesses with 100+ employees.

Notes: Below is an article on the mandate and it's opposition.

Here's who's required to be vaccinated under the plan:
Employers with 100 or more employees will be required to have their employees either be fully vaccinated or get tested weekly to come to work. Biden said the Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration would implement the requirements that would affect more than 80 million workers.
Federal workers and employees of contractors that do business with the federal government will be required to be vaccinated.
The Department of Health and Human Services will require vaccinations in Head Start Programs, as well as schools run by the Department of Defense and the Bureau of Indian Education.
Workers in health care facilities that receive Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements, including hospitals and home health agencies, will also have to be fully vaccinated.
Individuals applying to become lawful permanent US residents must be fully vaccinated, US Citizenship and Immigration Services announced on Sept. 14.

Notes: Here are the Republican states that oppose the vax passport (proof-of-vaccination).

State proof-of-vaccination policies
Twenty states have banned proof-of-vaccination requirements. All 20 states—Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, Montana, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming—have Republican governors. In total, 20 out of the 27 states with Republican governors have prohibited proof-of-vaccination requirements through executive orders or legislation. Eight states with Republican governors—Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Vermont, West Virginia—have not prohibited proof-of-vaccination requirements at any level of government.

Notes: In such a fluid situation the numbers are bound to change. Below is the latest on states that oppose the new mandates.

26 States Oppose Biden’s Federal Vaccine Mandate by Marmee Rooke
September 10, 2021

. . . Yesterday September 9, Joe Biden stood in front of the American people and gave a speech as angry and divisive as it was tyrannical. Biden said, “We’ve been patient, but our patience is wearing thin, and your refusal has cost all of us.”

Biden informed Americans that the delta variant was too much for his administration to handle, and therefore he would be stripping away your freedom to make sound medical decisions. All employers for companies with over 100 employees would be forced to mandate vaccination, mandate weekly testing, or force their employees to quit.

Conservatives became immediately worried about what this means for the almost 100 million working Americans that this is set to impact. Biden threatened any Republican governors who dared to fight back, saying that his administration would “get them out of the way.”

. . . So far, the elected officials in Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Tennessee, Utah, West Virginia, and Wyoming have all come out against Joe Biden’s plan to force private companies to mandate the Covid vaccine.

Notes: Even though Michigan's a blue state, there is push back from the Chamber of Commerce against this mandate.

New Michigan coalition launches with goal of getting Biden to reconsider vaccine mandate
A new coalition of several business chambers around Michigan is asking President Joe Biden to reconsider a vaccine mandate that will require employers with more than 100 employees to have a fully vaccinated workforce or undergo weekly COVID-19 testing.

. . . "At a minimum, we hope (Biden) will revisit the traditional rule-making process to allow Michigan workers and Michigan business owners to have meaningful input into a federal standard," said Rich Studley, president and CEO of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce, the state's most powerful business lobby.  Other chambers that are a part of the coalition include the Battle Creek Area Chamber of Commerce, the Grand Rapids Chamber, the Lansing Regional Chamber, the Northern Michigan Chamber Alliance, the Petoskey Chamber and Traverse Connect.

There is some hope with the three tier system. The supreme court has struck down this "mandate".

Supreme Court Blocks Biden's OSHA Vaxx Mandate by Tyler Durden
Thursday, Jan 13, 2022 - 02:32 PM

Despite the misinformation spewed forth by Justice Sotomayor, The US Supreme Court has blocked the Biden administration's vaccine-or-test rule for US businesses, but allows vaccine mandate for most health care workers.

. . . The OSHA ruling vote was 6-3 with Breyer, Sotomayor, and Kagan in dissent.

"Permitting OSHA to regulate the hazards of daily life - simply because most Americans have jobs and face those same risks while on the clock - would significantly expand OSHA’s regulatory authority without clear congressional authorization."

Notes: This is worth opening a good bottle from the boiler room. Cheers!
