Foreign Influences - Chinese Canadian Relations

Subject: China's influence on Canada occurring on many fronts.
Report Name: Foreign Influences - Chinese Canadian Relations
Description: Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) issues warnings and Alberta takes action against Chinese communist influence at research universities.
Notes: It seems there is some hope left for Canada. There have been many conspiracies about China and Canada lately, some are quite menacing with foreboding of a communist threat coming from Canada. Below is some information that is a year old now but clearly shows the relationship that Canadian prime minster Justin Trudeau has with China. This does appear to be a threat from our northern border in my humble opinion.
Notes: I have located CFB Petawawa in Ontario. It is west of Ottawa, just off the Ottawa River. Interesting how the mouth of the Ottawa River is in Montreal on the Canadian part of the St Lawrence seaway. All Canadian waterways from the Atlantic via the St Lawrence, a route that maybe one point of Chinese troop invasions at some future date.

China’s foreign interference likely ‘widespread’ in Canada, says author of new report
By Joanna Chiu Vancouver Bureau
Mon., June 8, 2020 Article was updated Jun. 09, 2020
A comprehensive new report has mapped out the structures, methods and effects of what it calls China’s global foreign interference system.
And the report’s author tells the Star he believes such activities are “widespread” in Canada, with clues often out in the open.
The report from the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) think-tank details how Beijing uses the United Front Work Department to stifle criticism, infiltrate foreign political parties, diaspora communities, universities and multinational corporations.
The report draws on extensive reviews of Chinese Communist Party documents, Chinese-language media articles, overseas organizations’ websites as well as photographs and posts on Chinese social media platforms including WeChat
CSIS warns China’s Operation Fox Hunt is targeting Canada’s Chinese community
Published November 10, 2020
The Canadian Security Intelligence Service says Beijing routinely uses undercover state security officials and “trusted agents,” or proxies, to target members of Canada’s Chinese community in an effort to silence critics of President Xi Jinping, including threats of retribution against their families back in China.
The federal spy agency says these illegal activities in Canada are part of a global campaign of intimidation that constitutes a threat to this country’s sovereignty and the safety of Canadians. One of the most high-profile efforts is Operation Fox Hunt, directed by Beijing’s Ministry of Public Security, which has been under way since 2014.
. . . FBI director Christopher Wray said in July that Operation Fox Hunt’s principal aim now is to suppress dissent among the Chinese diaspora. He called Fox Hunt nothing more than a sweeping bid by Mr. Xi to “target Chinese nationals who he sees as threats and who live outside China, around the world.”
Alberta orders major universities to suspend pursuit of new partnerships with China
Published May 24, 2021
Alberta has ordered its four major universities to suspend the pursuit of partnerships with individuals or organizations linked to the Chinese government or ruling Chinese Communist Party, citing concerns over national security and the risk that the research could be used to facilitate human-rights abuses.
The order affects the University of Alberta, the University of Calgary, the University of Lethbridge and Athabasca University, institutions with a strong research focus in the province.

SECRET MILITARY DOCUMENTS: Trudeau invited Chinese troops to train at Canadian military bases
Read the secret "China Files" now! By Ezra Levant | December 09, 2020
Justin Trudeau invited China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) to send its troops for cold weather training at CFB Petawawa in Ontario — and Trudeau raged at the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) for cancelling the training after China kidnapped Canadian citizens Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig.
This is only one of many bombshell revelations in The China Files, a 34-page access to information document released by the Trudeau government to Rebel News, seen below.
. . . Chinese military participants included 1- and 2-star generals and an entire contingent who would learn Canadian cold weather military tactics.
The CAF’s decision to cancel the cold weather training panicked Trudeau, who demanded that Canada’s military not cancel any more engagements with the PLA without explicit permission first, and that the news of the cancellation had to be told to the PLA gently, to let them save face.
